A child's definition of bullying

Recently some Key Stage 2 children from a Leicester City Primary School were asked to think about what bullying meant to them. A selection of their thoughts can be found below.

"Bullying is wrong because it puts people into positions they don't want to be in."

"Someone is mean to you, calling you names."

"What some people do for fun, but it hurts other people's feelings. A really horrible thing to do."

"Nasty and can hurt people's feelings."

"Wrong because it can ruin their life through guilt."

"Not suitable for anyone."
