Applying for Junior School
For a child transferring from infant school (Year 2) to junior school (Year 3), starting September 2009.
Or for a Junior school place part-way through the year (mid-term), from September 2008 through to July 2009.
The following information has been prepared to guide you through the process of how to apply for a Junior school place for your child. It is very important that you read and understand the steps involved in order that you maximise the likelihood of getting a preferred school that both you and your child are happy with.
Before making your preferences, we recommend that you take the time to read everything and consider the following recommendations when making your selection:
(i) Visit all the schools you are interested in and read the school prospectus
(ii) Consider how your child will get to and from the school
(iii) List two separate school preferences on your application
You should return your form by the deadline date of 24th October 2008. Failure to complete the form by this date will result in your application being processed as ‘late arrival’ and may reduce the likelihood of you getting the school of your choice.
