Braunstone Library forms part of the The BRITE Centre (Braunstone Reading, Information Technology and Entertainment) which also includes an IT suite, community rooms and spaces, children's play and care facilities, a function hall, Customer Services, adult learning facilities and a café.

In addition to more than 10,000 new books, which are FREE to borrow, the library offers facilities including - FREE use of computers and the Internet, weekly DVD hire, Talking Book hire, full access to all the resources available through the City Council's library service.
It will also host a range of events for people of all ages including:
- Computer & Internet Access - for FREE!!! Email your mates, look-up your long-lost relatives, check out items on ebay, play games.
- Study Support/Homework Help: Need help with homework, projects and coursework? Our trained helpers are here weekly to provide guidance, books and information.
- Career Advice: Need help with looking for a new job? Not sure what direction to take? Want to earn more money? A career adviser often visits the library; ask for more details.
- Computers for Beginners: Don’t worry if you've never used a computer before - mice don’t bite… neither do librarians! We are here to help absolute beginners and people of all ages.
- Toddler Times (under 5’s): The sessions provide an opportunity for parents, carers and children under five years old to play with toys & puppets, enjoy storytelling time, create with crafts, join in with rhymes and singing.
