Leicester Libraries' Home Library Service

ALeicester Libraries Home Library Service
Do you find it difficult to get to your local library?

Are you physically unable to get to your library and have no one to help you?

Do you live in Leicester?

Leicester City Libraries Home Library Service can help by delivering books to your door, or driving you from your home to your library. Not only is this service FREE, you can also borrow books from a wide range of stock including large print and talking books, plus other language stock - for FREE. There is no limit to the number of times the service can be used.

The library minibus is equipped with wheelchair facilities and a tail-lift and covers 24 different routes over a three-week period. At present the following libraries are visited: Beaumont Leys, Belgrave, Evington, Fosse, Highfields, Rushey Mead, St. Barnabas, Southfields and Westcotes. Assistants are on-hand to help carry books and escort.

Do you know anybody else - friends, relatives, neighbors etc. who may need help and would benefit from these services? Please let us know and pass their details on to us.

Interested in helping? Volunteers are always needed.

We are currently developing new and exciting opportunities for volunteers in Libraries. Watch this space for more details...
