Emergency Planning prepares for and deals with a range of emergencies such as floods, chemical leaks and gas explosions through to comparatively minor incidents.
 
About Us
 
We are part of the Resources Department of the Leicester City Council and are based at Wellington House 29 Wellington Street, Leicester, LE1 6HL
 
The aim of the service is to prepare emergency plans and make arrangemenst to protect people and the environment in Leicester or reduce the impact on them from an emergency.
 
We liaise on a regular basis with the Police, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance and Health Services in preparing its emergency plans.
 
Joint training and rehearsals take place with these services and other agencies to ensure that these plans will work.
