CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering

Leicester City Council is a registered centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s Level 3 Award in Supervising in Food safety (Formerly Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene.)

This is a new and completely new qualification which is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. (QCA) The course is intended for food handlers with supervisory roles. It is run over  a total of 4 days. This includes two separate exams for the two different modules.

This revised qualification is being delivered on a modular basis.

Candidates who achieve the CIEH Level 3 Award in Food safety Management Procedures will gain credit towards the new CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising in  Food safety and need only attend 1 of the 2 modules and sit a separate examination to achieve the full Level 3 Award.

 

The examinations are sector specific and are:

Level 3 Award in Supervising in Food safety in Catering

Level 3 Award in Food safety Supervision for Manufacturing

Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Retail

 The qualifiaction provides an introduction to supervising food safety in Catering and focuses on the following main areas:
