Planning Applications and Contraventions

The development control functions of the Planning Acts are administered by our Planning Management and Delivery section. The service helps to make sure that land and buildings in Leicester are used in the best way and that development results in the most benefit and least harm to the environment. It is a way to decide between the intentions of developers and the sometimes different needs of the community. This is done through deciding whether to approve or refuse planning applications.
