Leicester's Planning Database and On-Line Register

You can view Leicester City Council's Planning Database on-line. This contains over 118,000 planning application records since 1948. You can also view records of Planning Appeals and Enforcement Notices authorised:

You can also search for planning applications using the Council's CityStreAtZ mapping system. This allows you to search for an address using the maps, and then link to the Planning Database to view applications etc:

The Planning Applications Database gives access to our on-line library of Decision Notices, and on most recent planning applications, allows you to view Planning Documents, including submitted plans and application forms.

You can search each database by Reference Number, Address, Proposal keyword, and various other fields. You can query the system for a range of dates received and determined or resolved. Each of the Search Screens includes HELP in entering the fields. Click the HELP icon next to each field name.

The Database is updated at regular intervals, usually daily. You can therefore monitor progress of individual applications or appeals. To establish the current status of any live case, or for additional information on any case, you can also contact Planning.

If you have any comments or enquiries about our Planning Database, or about City StreAtZ, please email information.services@leicester.gov.uk .

We no longer publish copies of Weekly Lists of Planning Applications Received and Determined on our web site. However, you can subscribe to these by email, or inspect them in libraries and council offices.
