The CTC is a new unique construction training centre to provide industry recognised and accredited construction training courses to local people.
The CTC is also unique in the fact that it offers real site experience, site safety awareness and practical site based CSCS card training. No where in this region has this type of training been offered before.
Potentially the centre will work in partnership with employment agencies, local construction companies, leading training providers, FE Colleges and local schools and key funding bodies to equip people with the skills they need to play the roles they want within our society.

The Centre opened on Thursday 28th August 2008.
It was opened by:
Councillor Kitterick: Cabinet Lead for Regeneration and Transport
Andy Keeling: Corporate Director, Regeneration & Culture
Mary Rogers: Area Director, Learning & Skills Council
Bob Holt: Acting Group Manager,City Highways
The opening was also attended by people with vested interests in the construction industry.
