Economic Development

The aim of the Economic Development Team is to ensure that the benefits of economic growth are felt in all our communities so that no one should be disadvantaged by who they are or where they live.
 
To this end Economic Development implements active labour market policies targeted towards our most disadvantaged citizens

Development of Social Economy

Offenders into Employment Project:      
 
The Ex-Offenders Project works in partnership to utilise the skills of ex-offenders residing in Leicester to benefit themselves, the local and wider community.  The project works closely with other key organisations, in order to achieve its targets. City Wide Construction:
 
Citywide Construction is an initiative by LCC to help people living in Leicestershire to find jobs and training to enable them to work in the construction industry. Incubating Graduates Business Project
 
The IGB Project is a partnership project funded through the Objective 2 European Social Fund (ESF).
