Ex-offenders Employment Project
Th Ex-offenders Employment Project (EEP) works in partnership with MAPPOM - Multi Agency Prolific and Priority Offender Management, Fern Training & Development and Leicestershire and Ruland Probabtion Area.
Our aim is to utilise the skills of ex-offenders residing in Leicester to benefit themselves, the local economy and the wider community.
EEP provides assistance to ex-offenders, who are amongst the highest percentage of unemployed in the city and helps intergrate them into sustainable development.
EEP is adressing the perception of ex-offenders, by attracting employers to support the project. The client group have a variety of skills and experience and are willing to work and make a difference.
EEP works on a referral basis, generated by organisations working with the client group. Clients are assessed on an individual basis to establish need and to identify other issues such as training.
