Monitoring

Regeneration accesses funding from a range of sources and projects are often driven financially by Central Government and Europe.  As the accountable body for these projects, Leicester City Council measures the work being done and how this helps to deliver best value and other performance targets.
 
Project monitoring can be used for a number of purposes and ususally includes:
 
  • Providing a valuable data / information source
  • Appraising the development of a project
  • Records progress against milestones
  • Records quality and compliance with specifications
  • Acts as a communication tool / reporting mechanism
  • Provides support and advice
  • Provides a platform for making recommendations
  • Helps progress work
