Leicester is responsible for providing its residents with opportunities for training and employment in a variety of settings. Not only does it provide these with routes into the labour market and there by providing them with economic advantage, but it also acts a means of improving the performance, skills and shape of the local workforce.

 

Leicester is working to improve skills and employment rates across the city.  It does this by targeting a range of people but also by concentrating on those people /areas that are the most deprived.  By doing this it allows them to play a more valuable and meaningful part in society.
