The judges were impressed by the wide range of initiatives including the links with the community through providing educational visits to schools on recycling. Key achievements include a comprehensive recycling programme with a target of zero waste to landfill, achievement of FSC certification and completion of the revised Environmental Management System ISO 14001.

 

 

 

This printing company has reduced the amount of Volatile Organic Compounds released into the atmosphere by using more vegetable oil based inks and less alcohol in their printing processes. The project was carefully managed to ensure that quality and productivity did not suffer whist impact on the environment was minimised. Environmental issues have been given a high profile in their company brochure.
