Our overall aim is to ensure that a decent home is within the reach of every citizen of Leicester.

Five key objectives:

- to meet the needs for affordable housing in Leicester through the encouragement of new provision and the reduction of empty and under-occupied homes.

- to improve the housing stock to Decent Homes Standards in all sectors in Leicester City Council.

- to enable citizens of Leicester to find and stay in homes that meet their needs, offering choice of tenure, location and type of home.

- to enable citizens to have access to affordable warmth and a healthy living environment.

- to develop community capacity and tenant participation across the city.
