What if I am homeless or likely to become homeless?
Leicester City Council give advice and assistance to anybody who is likely to become homeless. Early intervention may mean that we can actually prevent your homelessness, so it is important that you contact the Housing Option Centre in Phoenix House, Welford Place as soon as you can if you feel that you are at risk of losing your home.
This advice is available to everyone, whether you own your home, rent from a private landlord or are living with someone else in their home.
Leicester City Council has other responsibilities for people who are actually homeless, however not everybody who becomes homeless can receive help/ accommodation. The Government states that only certain categories of people can be helped under current housing legislation.
