These grants are available following a comprehensive assessment of need.  The grants are given to make adaptations or changes to the home in order to make the house more suitable for the needs of the disabled person. 
 
Officers liaise with carers during the process to ensure that they are fully involved in the grant application and are kept informed while works are in progress.
