Emergency accommodation/Hostels
Leicester City Council’s Hostels Direct Service is available to anyone who is:
- Homeless
- Homeless with support needs
- 16 and over.
If you are not homeless tonight but threatened with homelessness within the next month, you can get further advice from the Housing Options Centre. Call for an appointment on (0116) 252 8707.
If you have nowhere to stay tonight, you should visit the Housing Options Centre at Phoenix House, Welford Place as soon as you realise you have nowhere to stay and by 4.00 pm at the latest or contact one of our Hostels directly.
If you have nowhere to stay at weekends or outside of office hours, you will need to call Hostels Direct on one of the following numbers:

All hostels are close to local amenities including shops, dentist, doctors, schools, places of worship and recreational facilities. (Please contact individual hostels for details)
Disabled facilities
All hostels have varied facilities for the disabled. Please contact the hostel direct for details.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in any of the hostels, except the Dawn Centre, which does have dog kennels.
Cost
The cost of staying in a hostel varies between hostels; you will have to pay a personal charge for water, heating, lighting, sewage, meals and laundry service.
