Burglary Reduction Project
The Safer Homes In Our City Burglary Reduction scheme offers a security package to anybody who lives within the Leicester City Council boundary.
The aim of this scheme is to provide affordable security measures for the home and to help residents reduce the risk of burglary.
The initiative provides:
- A free security survey of your home
- A free quotation for the cost of security measures that are to be fitted
- Free fitting of security items
If you decide to join the scheme, you will only have to pay for the recommended security items that are supplied you - at cost price (plus VAT) - and a £5 administration charge.
The type of security measures that are available include:
- Window locks
- Five lever mortice door locks
- Door chains
- Door viewers
- Window alarms
- Smoke alarms
- Shed locks
- Pad bolts
- Pad locks
- Personal attack alarms
