Alternative Ways to Apply
90% of people who apply for jobs with Leicester City Council use our online application form. You will find a link to it under the details for every job advertised here. It is simple, secure, reliable and fast.
However, there are also a number of alternatives you may wish to consider:
- Download a pdf version. These forms can be printed out, completed by you and then sent in by post.
- Download a text or Microsoft Word version of the form. These forms can be edited electronically and then either printed out an posted back to us or sent by e-mail. However, if you send in your form by e-mail, please make sure you receive an acknowledgement from the JobShop as we cannot guarantee delivery or security of e-mails sent over the internet
There are two types of form - the job description will tell you which one you need.
- Form A is for job exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- Form B is for job that is NOT exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
You can request a paper application pack and/or form by contacting Job Shop on 0116 2527010 (24 hours) quoting the reference number of the vacancy. This application pack will contain the same information that is available on this website but costs a lot more to send out. Please also be aware of the closing date for the vacancy that you request an application pack for - you should allow about 2 working days to receive your pack through the post and at least a further 2 working days to return it.
