Sports Grants

The city council has a small funding opportunity for affiliated groups to access partnership funding for events. This partnership funding has clear criteria and information in the first instance can be obtained by calling Sports Services on Tel 0116 252 7323 or complete the funding application form.
 
The aim of Sports Services is to achieve continuous improvement in all areas of sports within the city. To assist clubs in achieving desired goals, information on additional funding can be obtained by logging on the sites of the various organisations given on this page.

Access Funds*
The website provides information on grants for British charitable and non-profit sector. It provides latest funding information from the Central Government, National Lottery, devolved governing bodies and the EU.

Awards for all*
A lottery grant scheme aimed at local communities issuing grants of between £300 to £10,000.

British Sports Trust*
Statutory funding for running Sports Leaders Award.

Central Council for Physical Recreation Sports*
The CCPR is the national body for governing sports and recreation activities. The website gives a information on the range of fund available for sports.

Community Fund, The*
Community Fund gives information on funding that are available and advice on making application for funding. This organisation is also involved in the distribution of lottery money to charities and groups in greatest needs.

Comic Relief*
Funding can be obtain for certain specific requirements.

European funding programme*
A database of over 400 EU grants and loans.

Fair Share*
Jointly funded by the New Opportunities Fund and Community Fund.

Football Foundation, The*
Oversees investment in grassroots football. Free Football kit.

Government Funding/(Voluntary and Community Sector Grants)*
Government grants for the voluntary and community sector.

Inclusive Fitness Initiative*
Promotes and support opportunities for people with disabilities to take part in physical activities

Heart Research*
Grant Application considered for 'Lifestyle interventions' - physical activity, healthy eating and smoking cessation programmes that will help to prevent or reduce the risk of heart disease.

National Lottery , The*
Awards to support projects in areas such as sports facilities, youth coaching and development, sports events and supporting athletics excellence.

Sportsmatch*
Grassroots sponsorship incentive scheme which matches commercial sponsorship, pound for pound.

Sports England is an organisation that is committed to creating opportunities for people to start in sports, stay in sports and succeed in sports.

UK Sports*
Supports talented men and women in sports where we compete as United Kingdom.

Whitbread Young Achievers Award*
