Ghosts at Leicester Castle

The sounds of cell doors banging shut, arguments between invisible inmates...
The cells of the Great Hall have witnessed many turbulent scenes, some of which appear to have left an imprint on the cold atmosphere.

The sounds of cell doors banging shut, arguments between invisible inmates and heavy sobbing noises have all been heard upstairs in the main building, years after the Hall ceased to be a court of law.

Attendants at the hall would often complain of bells ringing from the cell area when they were empty.
