The City of Leicester Museums Trust, which purchases objects for Leicester Museums and Galleries Collections, seeks new Trustees.
The Trust currently has two vacancies and warmly invites men and women of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds to apply to become Trustees.
Desirable skills, experience and abilities:
- An interest in Museums and Galleries and cultural activities related to Leicester.
- Relevant experience, e.g. voluntary or commercial sector management, fundraising, finance.
- A practical, business-like approach
- A commitment to reflecting Leicester’s cultural diversity in the work of the Trust
- A willingness to work within Local Government frameworks
Commitment Required of Trustees:
- Three or four meetings are held per year, currently on Mondays at 4pm, at which purchase proposals are considered.
- From time to time approval of purchases is also needed at short notice.
