Swing into action with City Golf

Leicester City Council’s two municipal golf courses, which are based in Humberstone and New Parks respectively, are now gearing up to welcome and attract players of all abilities and ages to both venues when the new season opens on 30th March 2008.

 

For non-players it’s never too late to get to grips with one of the most mysterious and challenging leisure pursuits.

 

 

As one leading author of golf recently wrote:

 

“The appeal of golf is both profound and mysterious. There is the beauty of (most) golf courses; the sheer, animal satisfaction in hitting a ball with a stick and watching it go a long way; the tough, empirical gratification in watching yourself improve through study and hard work. Humberstone Heights Golf Complex

Situated on the east side of the city. The complex consists of an 18 hole course, 9 hole pitch and putt, 30 bay floodlit driving range, putting green clubhouse with bar and restaurant, professional shop and large car park.

Western Golf Course

Sited on the west of the city, comprising of an
18 hole course, practice ground, putting green and indoor practice nets. Clubhouse with bar and restaurant, professional shop and large car park.

Both facilities are committed to an extensive coaching programme. The aim is to encourage players of all abilities to improve their game, and enjoy the delights of the sport.
