What does the Sports Regeneration Team Do?

The Sports Regeneration Team utilises sport as a tool to help regenerate the city of Leicester. The team is committed to offer a quality service to improve the sporting opportunities and professional development throughout the whole City. We are renowned and endeavour to develop and expand our development work within sports and regeneration work within the City of Leicester and it's diverse local communities.
 
We pride ourselves on work carried out in partnership with other organisations such as Governing Bodies, Education, Sport England, county sports partnership, local sports alliance, local sports clubs and community groups.

What can Sports Regeneration do for you?

We can provide support and information about:
 
  • Holiday programmes both inclusion and mainstream
  • Local Events and Festivals ie Sports Fest
  • Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Youth Games
  • General Information on Local Sport and activities available
  • Advice and guidance around Funding
  • School club links
  • Developing local community and voluntary groups
  • Developing local sporting opportunities
 
The team has something to offer everyone involved in sport. We have One Sports Regeneration Manager and Six Sports Regeneration Officers and a host of Multisports coaches and the Sport on the Road Team that currently work with specific hard to reach groups.
