Charges for Adult Services 2008-09
Charges
Payments
Banded rates paid to care homes for residential and nursing care are mainly increased by approximately 2% with effect from 7 April 2008.
NHS Funded Nursing Care Payments
The relevant City/County PCT for the NHS funded nursing care contributions will pay payments direct to the care homes with effect from 1 April 2008. This covers the £101 single band rate, the £139 transitionally protected high band rate and the £5.70 continence payment.
Leicester City Council will only pay the accommodation and personal care element of the total package cost and this is to rise from £348 to £355 per week from 07/04/2008.
The payment arrangements in respect of joint funded/continuing care placements will remain the same, as well as any arrangements for placing service users outside the City/County PCT areas, which will be subject to the arrangements as agreed with the relevant PCT at that time.
Charges
The hourly charge for home care has increased from £8.00 to £8.20, and the maximum weekly charge has remained at £200. All day service transport will now be provided free of charge. Please refer to the schedule (attached below) to view the rest of the charges for the non-residential services and for a selection of charge out rates for staff.
Charges to other Councils for day services have been determined, however the additional charges applied to Learning Disability Day Services relating to staffing ratio should be applied where appropriate.
