When does the Emergency Duty Team operate?
We know that not all major problems happen during normal office hours or can wait until the next day. We provide an out of hours team that is there to help with those emergencies.
If you have an unexpected crisis outside normal office hours, please ring the Emergency Team's answering service on 0116 255 1606. A member of the Team will phone you back as soon as possible.
What sort of problems can the Emergency Duty Team help with?
The Emergency Duty Team is made up of experienced and qualified social workers. Here are a few examples of the sort of problems we can help with:
- difficulties with children and young people
- child protection issues
- older people who are at risk or who need immediate help
- concerns about a person with a physical or a sensory disability
- concerns about someone who has severe learning disabilities or mental health problems
