The Highways Management Group is responsible for maintaining the highway and watercourse infrastructure in a clean, tidy, safe and operationally efficient condition. This includes the management and maintenance of highways and street lighting (including festive decorations) and the co-ordination of the Statutory Undertakers works on the highway under the New Roads and Street Works Act.

Complaints about pavements and road surfaces (such as potholes) will be investigated.
