The new National Travel Pass

From 1 April 2008, people over 60 and disabled people will be able to travel for free on any local bus service across England. They will also be entitled to discounted rail travel on some services.
Thousands of people in Leicester rely on local bus services. This new concession will allow them not only to save money, but provides an incentive to go further afield to visit friends, family and places of interest in other parts of England.

If you are eligible and have applied for the new National Travel Pass, it will be issued from March 2008. If you haven’t received it by 1 April 2008, please remember you can use your existing pass on local services until you receive your new pass. The Concessionary Travel Helpline is open to advise you if you are waiting for your new National Travel Pass.  The number to call is 0116 305 0002.  The line is open from 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
