New work starting this week:
- St Peters Lane: carriageway resurfacing work. Diversions in place via Butt Close Lane and East Bond Street on Sunday, 31st only. Last of three Sunday closures.
- Butt Close Lane: carriageway resurfacing work. Lane restriction and suspension of existing one-way system in place on Sunday, 31st only.
- Vaughan Way: Opening of the Highcross Leicester Centre. Various restrictions in use in the city centre on Thursday, 4th only. Delays expected.
- Peacock Lane: carriageway works. Temporary lights as required on Sunday, 31st only.
- Vaughan Way: installation of variable message signs. Off peak lane closure in both directions on Sunday, 31st only.
- Church Gate: installation of signing for change of direction. Road closed, as required, between Gravel Street and the Clock Tower on Sunday, 31st only. Local diversions in place.
- Haymarket: installation of signing for change of direction. Road closed from the Clock Tower to Charles Street, with access to the Haymarket car park maintained at all times on Sunday, 31st only. Local diversions in place.
- Belgrave Gate: installation of signing for change of direction. Road closed between Charles Street and the Haymarket on Sunday, 31st only. Local diversions in place.
- Hotel Street: city centre improvement works. Road closed between Market Place and Market Place South from 7am-6pm, with one-way systems on St Martins and Cheapside suspended, on Sunday, 31st only.
On-going work:
- Aylestone Road and Welford Road: redevelopment of the Tigers stadium. Off peak lane restrictions around the Tigers ground.
- Hamilton Way: instillation of bridge. Lane restrictions in use between Keyham Lane and the Victoria Road East extension.
- Fosse Road North: gas main work. Lane restrictions as required between Tudor Road and Pool Road. Delays expected.
- Woodgate: carriageway and footway works. 24-hour inbound lane restrictions and various restrictions in operation. Delays expected.
- Causeway Lane: city centre improvement works. One-way towards Vaughan Way from East Bond Street, also East Bond Street one-way towards Causeway Lane.
- Braunstone Way: bridge works. 24-hour lane closures from Hinckley Road island, 2-way traffic maintained.
- Hastings Road: cabling works. Restrictions as required.
- Granby Street: city centre improvement works. Road closed between Bishop Street and Halford Street, with various changes to restrictions in the area. Diversions in place.
- Bath Lane: carriageway works. Road closed between Welles Street and St. Augustine’s Road.
- Upperton Road: rebuilding viaduct works. Lane closures and restrictions on and around Upperton Road and Swan Bridge, as required.
Please note that emergency situations may require work schedules to be changed at short notice.
