Gambling Act 2005
The Licensing section deals with applications under the Gambling Act 2005, which came into full effect on 1 September 2007.
The Act transferred responsibility for the licensing of gambling premises from Licensing Justices to Local Authorities.
The Gambling Commission issues Operating Licences and Personal Licences under the 2005 Act. As the Local Authority for Leicester City, we issue Premises Licences for the following activities:
