A Premises Licence is required for the following activities:
- the sale or supply of alcohol
- the provision of regulated entertainment
- the provision of late night refreshment
All of these activities are defined in the Licensing Act 2003. They are also described in the City Council's Licensing Policy. Both documents can be accessed from the
