Leicester City Council investigates and deal with vehicles abandoned on the highway according to the Defra guidelines.
The procedure we follow allows the council to remove the
vehicles from city streets quickly which means that anyone leaving a
vehicle untaxed has little time to put this right.
If a vehicle is removed it will then be destroyed by an approved contractor on behalf of Leicester City Council.
