A new garden waste service will launch in March 2014 and is an optional service available to households across Leicester City.
It will provide you with the opportunity to recycle your garden waste, such as leaves, twigs and grass cuttings, using a green wheeled bin.
Collections will be fortnightly between March and October (inclusive) and the service will cost only £20 for the first year if you sign up before 30 April 2014 (normally £30 per year).
How to sign-up
You can pay online using a debit or credit card by completing the garden waste payment form. Alternatively you can call 0116 454 1002 and an advisor will arrange for the Waste Management team to call you back at a later date to take your details and payment.
How the service works
You can register for the service at any time of the year. Collections will be fortnightly on Mondays from March to October (inclusive). Subscriptions will need to be renewed every 12 months if you wish to continue with the service. When you register you will also be able to request additional bins at a reduced cost of £15 per bin. If you decide to request additional bins at a later date the cost will be £20 per bin.
You will be provided with a green wheeled bin to put all of your garden waste in and we will issue you with a simple collection calendar showing you which week you need to present your bin for collection.
See our Frequently Asked Questions page for more details.
