Student Recycling

News Item:

Student Newsletter Sept 2011

Off Campus

When you live off campus you are entitled to the same recycling and waste facilities as any other resident in Leicester.

So if you live in a house you should have a black wheeled bin and orange bags in which you can recycle a range of materials including; paper; cardboard; household plastics e.g. yogurt pots, margarine tubs, food trays etc.; tetra pak (cartons); tins and cans and glass bottles and jars.

If you live in a flat you will have communal refuse bins and also may have access to communal recycling bins.  In order for all residents to have access to recycling facilities we will be be assessing all flats over the next 12 months until October 2012.  This will allow us to determine the best recycling option available to meet each flats individual needs, once agreed we will contact all residents and let them know what their new recycling service will be and when it will start.

To find out if you have communal recycling available where you live please call 0116 252 7002.
