Leicester City residents can have their unwanted bulky items and garden waste collected free of charge.

We cannot collect some items such as rubble and soil, so please check before you book your collection.

Collections are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Alternatively, if you have a car you can visit one of our Community Recycling Centres and leave your unwanted items there for free of charge. Please sort your items before visiting to save time and avoid queues.

If you dump your waste on campus or out on the street this is fly tipping which is a crime and could cost you up to £50,000 and a criminal record.
If you pay someone to take your waste away it is your responsibility to check they are a registered waste carrier, if they are not you could face a fine up to £5000. Think carefully about who you give your waste to make sure you check they have a valid waste carrier’s licence by:
