Geoff is a performance specialist with the Audit Commission which he joined in 2001. He is a joint inspector on Joint Area Reviews and has been a team member on a number of corporate assessments. He has led performance audits in Health, local government and for the fire and rescue service covering areas such as value for money, cultural services, environmental services and health service commissioning.
Before joining the Audit Commission Geoff worked in further and higher education initially lecturing in biological sciences and then moving into a range of management roles which included Dean of Cultural Studies and Dean of Quality and Organisational Development. He was involved in a number of national initiatives which looked at factors affecting student retention. He also contributed to a wide range of curriculum developments which led to the introduction of graduate qualifications for nursing and diagnostic radiography and the introduction of NVQs for science technicians. Geoff has been CRB cleared.
