The Register Office is located within the City’s attractive Town Hall, in the Town Hall Square.
Our experienced team can guide couples through the whole wedding process and help you to make your ceremony special.
Around 1,000 marriage ceremonies take place within the register office building every year.
As part of the legal preliminaries to their wedding the citizens of the City of Leicester who wish to marry anywhere other than the Church of England must give a legal notice of their intention to marry. In the course of a year more than 2,000 notices are entered in the records of this office.
