Once you have given notice of intention to marry you will need to wait at least 16 days until your wedding. This period begins when both of you have given notice. If either of you delays giving your notice until a long while after the other one gave the first notice then the 16 days will not begin until the day the second notice is given.
On the 16th day the Superintendent Registrar for the district where you have given your notice of intention to marry will be able to issue an authority for marriage. The person who is to register your marriage will require this document, together with the one issued by the Superintendent Registrar for the district where your intended husband/wife gave their notice of intention to marry.
If you both live in the City of Leicester, and your wedding is to be at an approved venue in the City of Leicester, then the Superintendent Registrar will issue the authorities directly to the registrar allocated to your wedding.
