Payment in Instalments

Payment arrangements will be made in accordance with the council’s fair debt policy.
Arrangements will be subject to receipt of full details of your income and expenditure.
You can pay instalments by:

Payment card
We can arrange for you to pay instalments using a payment card. You can use it to make payments at Welford House Cash Office or at an area housing office. Take the card with you to pay and your payments will be recorded on it.

Bank Giro Credit or Girobank Transfer
To pay by bank Giro Credit or Girobank Transfer you need payment slips. Please contact us and we will send some to you.

In cash at any Post Office
Payment can be made in cash at any Post Office. To do so you will need payment slips. Please contact us and we will send some to you.

Interest charged with overdue debts
Debts which become overdue will be liable to be charged interest at such a rate as:
- is determeined by statute
- has been contractually agreed or
- as the council may from time to time determine.
