Leicester City Admissions Forum

Leicester City Admission Forum is a body of representatives from the different types of schools in the City (headteachers and governors), parents, faith and community groups. It is set up in accordance with Government Regulation and is not a committee of the City Council.

The Forum enables discussion between all admission authorities (voluntary-aided, academies and local authority community and voluntary controlled schools) and other key interested parties on how best to organise admissions in the city. The main focus of the Forum is to consider the fairness of admission arrangements, existing and proposed, establishing how well they serve the interests of children and parents in Leicester.

The Forum can offer advice to admissions authorities, which they must consider. It also has the power to issue reports.
