We would encourage parents to use the Leicester City Council's on-line application system for the Year 7 transfer process because it:
★ is simple to complete
★ guarantees delivery
★ is secure
★ ensures you have completed the form
★ is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
★ allows you to change your preferences as often as you wish until the closing date
★ provides immediate acknowledgements
★ reduces the likelihood of human error of data inputting
★ allows you to print off a copy for your reference
★ speeds up response rates rather than having to wait for the post.
To get started, you need to locate your child’s Unique Identification Number (UID) which is provided in your transfer pack letter. It is a 16-digit reference UID containing both letters and numbers and is case sensitive. Once you have this information, you then need to log on to www.leicester.gov.uk/admissionsonline
and follow the on-line instructions.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can still apply on-line at most local libraries and some community centres.
However, you are reminded that an on-line system is only live from the 12th September 2011 to midnight on the 31st October 2011.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO SUBMIT YOUR ON-LINE APPLICATION BY MIDNIGHT ON 31ST OCTOBER 2011.
Remember to re-submit your application if you change any information (before 31st October 2011).
Any on-line applications unsubmitted will be treated as late.
