Unit Catering Manager Debbie Martin (pictured holding the tray of biscuits) and her team, from the left Gita Nandha, Nasreen Mamodnurani and Karen Griffiths have settled into their new kitchen at Northfield House Primary School.
The old school and kitchen was knocked down last year, they settled into their new kitchen at the beginning of the September term 2011. The new kitchen & dining room is much bigger and brighter than the old one. The dining room has a selection of different coloured tables & chairs and at the end of the dining room the hall gives access to a large activity area for the pupils.
Parents are now invited in for lunch on a regular basis, which causes great excitement with the pupils this was not possible in the old dining room as it wasn't big enough.
In November Debbie baked a very large birthday cake for the Head Teacher, as he was celebrating a special birthday, the cake was sliced and all the pupils had a piece to help him celebrate.
