Leicester aspires to be an online learning city, at the forefront of harnessing the power of developing technologies for the benefit of our learners. Our society is being transformed by Information Communication Technologies (ICT); It is everywhere and plays a part in every part of life.
Our Local Education Partner (LEP) for ICT is Northgate. They are working closely with us to implement high quality solutions across all secondary schools in the city. Young people are particularly engaged by new technologies and will be able to use technology to thrive educationally in Leicester’s schools. Our new learning environments reflect this.
We will further harness ICT to reduce risk and raise opportunities for all learners, who confidently, successfully and routinely exploit Information and Communication Technologies. ICT will support efficient and effective business processes enabling the flow of data supporting integrated online information services (available to Parents and professionals alike), which can be shared across partners to support young people achieve their potential. Such partners may be in Health, support services, FE and HE.
