Lancaster is a comprehensive school for boys aged 11-16. They offer a wide and varied curriculum and provide many activities which extend beyond the school day.
Specialism
Lancaster acquired specialist sports college status on 1st September 2000. Since 2000 we have hosted The Lancaster School Sport Partnership. This exciting initiative has ensured that the number of young people involved in PE and School Sport across Leicester has accelerated. The programme is a thriving partnership including schools in Leicester.
In January 2005 Lancaster was granted a specialism in another subject because of the high achievement of boys at the school and acquired specialist status in the Arts.
Proposed Plans
Letters were sent out to people living near the school in Knighton, inviting them to view the plans and artists' impressions, which can be seen below or at the city council offices at 16 New Walk.
The plans were available to view from July 23.
An open event also took place at the offices in 16 New Walk, on Thursday, July 26, from 2pm to 4pm, where visitors came to discuss the projects and find out more information.
People wanting to comment on the plans were also able to do so by contacting the BSF project's phase manager, Peter Burditt, at Peter.Burditt@lmed.co.uk, or calling him on 0116 252 8017.
