Leicester City Council Education Committee has approved a strategic direction for its Psychology Service, which comprises the following four key elements:
Early Intervention
Assessment, Achievement and Inclusion of children with enduring significant and complex needs.
Development and preventative work.
Cross-City, Community, Cross Agency and Corporate work.
In taking forward this work the Service sets out to ensure:
It is working in partnership with schools, parents and others to make a psychological contribution to raising standards.
It is working in a manner that reflects and supports the multi-cultural character of Leicester.
