The Chaperon will be a mature person who is able to deal with children in a theatre environment. The Chaperon will be responsible during rehearsal and performance for looking after the general welfare and safety of the children, in particular:
1) Assisting the children with putting on and taking off their costumes and make-up.
2) Escorting the children to and from the stage when required during performances.
3) Being responsible for supervising the children in their dressing room between appearances.
4) Ensuring that the children are behaving in a quiet and orderly fashion at all times whilst they are on the premises.
5) Remaining with the children until they have been collected by parents or guardians after the performance.
6) Ensuring that the dressing rooms used by the children are kept clean and tidy at all times and that any costumes are properly cared for.
