Provision of Holiday Playschemes

On behalf of Leicester City Council, the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation ('ESPO') invites tenders for the provision of Holiday Playschemes.

The aim of the contract is to maximise access to good quality community based playschemes during all school holidays except Christmas, for children aged between 3 and 13 years in the most deprived areas of the city.  The contract will be in place for three years.  Further information about the requirement and the Council’s Holiday Playscheme Strategy is provided within the Invitation to Tender document.

The contract will be divided into lots, which will cover the same area as a Children’s Centre neighbourhoods.  Providers will be invited to bid to supply one or more Playscheme, dependent upon their capacity, and further instructions on this are given in the Invitation to Tender.

The Council wishes ideally to appoint suppliers by the end of July 2009, with the expectation that provision will start as soon as possible thereafter.
