Childcare Registration and Advice

Three children playing

The Childcare Registration and Advice Officers provide support throughout the Ofsted registration process for all types of childcare settings.

The Officers make individual visits and give telephone advice on making an application to register any childcare provision.

They also help prepare prospective providers to meet the requirements of the Early Years Register and the Childcare Register including guidance on the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Whether you want to register a new setting or extend or alter your provision we can offer support and guidance through this process.

Our aim is to encourage good quality registered childcare provision, sufficient to provide choice and meet the needs of parents within the City of Leicester.

We can provide relevant and up to date regulatory advice to all providers and Early Years Professionals and be available to respond to requests for briefings or presentations on early years topics.
