Paying for childcare

The costs of childcare can add up. There are many sources of help available to help you pay for childcare. The type of support you can get will depend on your situation, but most will require you to use Ofsted registered childcare

 

The information below is aimed at helping you through what's available and what you may be entitled to.

 

All Parents

Free Nursery Education Grant is available to every three and four year old in Leicester. This means that your child is entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks of the year.

 

This can take place in private day nurseries, nurseries attached to schools, indepedant schools and at pre-school playgroups.  

 

Working Parents

This covers information for parents that are working. Whether working full or part time, there may be some help available to help pay for childcare costs.

 

Students

This looks at the range of support and help available for parents that are studying and need to pay for childcare.
